Corn flakes cake

The cake with corn flakes is a clever recipe that I have seen here and I thought to try immediately. I say it is a clever recipe because it is not a real cake, with dough and baking, but rather a sort of idea, to consume cereals (or chocolate from Easter eggs) or to prepare a quick and tasty snack for your children .
It reminds me a little of my puffed rice bars, in short. The ingredients are few and the process is very simple. The only thing you need to pay attention to is the moment of cutting, as you will have to use a knife with a good blade because the sweet, slightly hard, does not split. I still recommend you to try it, because it is really good;)

  • Doses for 1 mold of 18-20 cm:
  • for the cake
  • 180 gr of corn flakes or cereals
  • 200 gr of dark chocolate
  • 100 gr of milk chocolate
  • 80 gr of condensed milk
  • 30 g of butter
  • to decorate
  • 100 gr of dark chocolate
  • corn flakes or cereals
(100 ml = 3.4 fluid oz. – 100 grams = 3.5 ounces – 1 liter = 34 fluid oz. – 1 kilogram = 2.205 pounds – 100C° 212F° – 180C° 356F°)
  • preparation: 20 min
  • total: 20 min + 1 hour in the fridge

Method

How to make corn flakes cake

Melt the dark chocolate together with the milk chocolate, then add the chopped butter and mix to melt it.
Add corn flakes and chocolate condensed milk and mix well.

Pour the mixture into a hinged mold with a bottom lined with parchment paper and flatten it and level it to compact it well.
Leave in the fridge to rest for at least 45 minutes, then melt the chocolate for decoration and spread it over the entire upper surface, then decorate as desired with the cereals.

The corn flakes cake is ready, put it in the fridge for at least 15 minutes before serving.
